 lithograph print
This is a lithoprint, a printing process using wax on a
metal plate then it's treated with chemicals & quickly
printed onto paper before the plate can dry. It gives
a soft almost pencil-like quality when printed.
This is one of a series of three illustrations I did of
the life of the greek heroine,
Atalanta. Abandoned
as a baby to perish because her father wanted a son,
Atalanta was
raised by a she-bear & became a great
huntress who fought along side Jason & the Argonauts.
